After passing his univerity entrance exam, Jost de Jager studied Modern History, Political Science and Anglistics at Kiel University and graduated with a Master of Art (M.A.). Afterwards he finished a journalistic traineeship.
Jost has had a long standing experience in politics and government. For nine years he used to be a member of the Schleswig-Holstein State Legislative before he joined the government in 2005 first as State Secretary and subsequently Minister of Science, Economic Affairs and Transport. Jost was chairman of the Christian Democratic Party CDU in Schleswig-Holstein.
He is a guest lecturer at the Business School Berlin Potsdam and member of the Advisory Board of the Global Economic Symposiums of the Institute of the World Economy, Kiel and member of the Supervisory Board of Denker&Wulf AG.
Jost is advising private companies on projects on their political positioning. He gained knowledge in the wording of policy papers and in political communication with decision makers and the media. In addition, he supports companies and the public sector in strategy processes and in developing their personnel and organiszations.
In his work he is moderating strategy workshops and dialogue processes of a different size.
